Your future challenges
Your main task will be to develop, modify, maintain and provide software support for Ground radar systems and peripheral equipment. The systems that you will be working with are at various life-cycle stages, meaning that you will be working with everything from developing and maintaining systems to their eventual discontinuation. In order to accomplish this, you will use tools such as: Visual Studio, SQL-Server, XML, C++ and VB script.
Your work will be carried out in close discussion and cooperation with customers but it will also involve a substantial degree of freedom in terms of individual responsibility.

Who are you?
You have a university education with a specialisation in software engineering or equivalent experience, and have a passion for technology and learning about new systems. We value ambition, teamwork and responsibility.
We consider it beneficial if you have experience of the above-mentioned tools and languages, and that you are also familiar with Microsoft Foundation Classes, Windows administration (workstation), security installation and PLC programming.
You can express yourself well in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
The role involves work that includes military classified information and Swedish citizenship is a requirement.
What you will be joining
Your prospective department, Ground Based Radar, specialises in offering support and maintenance of ground based radar systems such as surveillance radar and weather radar. Work is carried out in close dialogue and partnership with customers. At present, the department includes 25 employees with a considerable range of skills, most of whom are based in Arboga.
Place of action
Support and Services, a business area of Saab, supplies a wide range of services and integrated support solutions to customers in defence and on commercial markets for cost-efficient support of systems and platforms throughout their life cycle.
