Who is your future team?
We are an embedded software team with a strong team spirit. We believe in building an open and trusting environment to be able to have fun and learn whilst delivering great products. In our projects we collaborate with different competence areas such as mechanics, electronics, production, sourcing and together we develop the complete product. We are a part of the project all the way from the concept phase until the product is delivered to the market. The duration of a project is normally around 2 years. The team consists of skilled engineers, both junior and senior.
As your manager I believe in the power of building a team where the team is the driving the how. The team members are the experts and I'm the one supporting along the way so that we can do the work the best way possible. I have a passion for product development and for personal development of my team members. To set goals and to reach those goals together with my team is a true motivation for me.
What you'll do as a Software Engineer:
Depending on your profile and interests. As an embedded software engineer in our team you will be responsible for the software design and implementation in a product which could include:
* In a Linux embedded system develop software both in Linux kernel space and user space using C.
* Developing web-based user interfaces using Typescript and React. (We are working with the entire vertical from the kernel to the user interface in our team.)
* Find solutions to complex problems in a large and complex code base.
* Use Git and Gerrit for revision handling and review of the C code.
* Writing test cases in Python.
* Involved in debugging and fixing bugs
* Evaluate and decide what hardware should be used in the product (together with the hardware team).
Who are you?
You are newly graduated or an experienced software engineer feeling ready for the next step in your career. You are stimulated by challenges and love to solve problems together with others. You have a positive mindset and are a true team player.
We'd love to hear that you have:
* A strong personal drive and are communicative.
* Experience from school or from the industry in embedded C, Linux and Python.
* Experience of or want to learn Typescript and React.
* Engineering bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, physics, mathematics engineering or equivalent.
The following would also be great merits:
* Skills in network and video streaming development.
* Capable of reading and understanding HW schematics.
* Experience working with Yocto and systemd.
* Developing software using C for MCU (Bare-Metal or using FreeRTOS).
* Experience working with Rust.
