Jeppesen is looking for a passionate software developer with Eclipse RCP experience. You will be part of a skilled implementation team; solving resource optimization problems, designing and customizing our crew management products for airlines. Dependent on assignment you will work as the technical lead and/or developer, in close cooperation with the client. Your tasks will include understanding the client's needs, capturing requirements, writing detailed design specifications, developing software, verifying quality and testing. You will be based in Göteborg and there will be opportunities to travel to our customers from time to time.
Background and experience:
• Minimum 5 years of professional software development
• Minimum 3 years of development using the Eclipse RCP framework
• Excellent Java skills
• Experience with working within a Linux environment
• Experience with database system (Oracle)
• Ability to work independently and be a team member
• Fluency in English and strong communication skills
• An analytical approach to problem solving
• An interest for technology as well as human relations
• MSc in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or equivalent
Preferred assets:
• Knowledge of Python, shell scripting and versioning systems
• Experience of system integration using web services, SOAP, MQ etc.
• Experience of on-line systems with high availability requirements
• Experience of working within a scrum team or in similar agile project setups
