We are now looking for a Legal Counsel to join our Group Legal Affairs-team at our headquarters in Stockholm!
About the role
In this role, you will provide legal support to the board of directors, the leadership team and the other group functions at Skanska. You will also provide support to the legal functions under Skanska 's different business units and you will be part of developing the Group Legal Affairs function. As Legal Counsel at Skanska you will work with a broad range of corporate legal matters such as corporate governance, stock exchange rules and general meetings. You will also assist in implementing processes and providing legal advice in relation to Intellectual Property law, Data Protection as well as other areas of legal compliance.
The Group Legal Affairs team (which includes Legal and Ethics) is headed by the Executive Vice President General Counsel and consists of 10 employees. In total, including the different busines units, Skanska has approximately 140 lawyers employed worldwide. In this role, you will report to the Executive Vice President General Counsel and the position is based at the headquarters in Stockholm.
What we are looking for
You have a Swedish LL.M. degree followed by 6 - 10 years of experience from working at a business law firm and/or as a corporate in-house legal counsel. You have experience from working with general corporate law, stock exchange rules, commercial agreements and intellectual property rights. Experience from working with data protection and digitalisation/legal tech is beneficial.
You are a curious and unpretentious problem solver who pro-actively take initiatives to contribute with your expertise to impact the business. You are good at running projects and communicating with different colleagues throughout the organization. We expect you to be driven, supportive and ready to assist where needed. You have excellent oral and written communication skills, both in Swedish and English, and you enjoy working in an international and eventful environment.
