The Engineering department builds Klarna's systems and designs the products used by tens of thousands of e-stores and millions of customers every day. We are over 180 engineers devoted to developing the best products possible, from concept to execution. We handle millions of transactions through our real-time system which we in turn are expanding in every direction. Our heroes in the Live Ops team makes this possible and now we need a another skilled team member to handle the everyday operations of this business critical system.

As a Senior Systems Engineer you will be part of developing our ways of working. It's a fast paced environment and there are high demands on the availability of the system. The challenge is to improve the way we monitor our system and find ways of becoming more proactive by analyzing statistics and identifying trends. You will of course take part in making our department even more agile as well.

You will work with a broad spectra of projects as well as partaking in the technical aspects of maintaining and releasing new code. Incidents do actually happen and as a Senior Systems Engineer you will investigate and find ways of preventing these. You will work very close to both the development department as well as the rest of our IT Operations. This is a place where you both develop your own as well as your colleagues skills and knowledge.
Desired Skills & Experience

If managing a business critical real-time system gets your adrenaline pumping this is a role for you. You have probably worked as a Systems Engineer or a System Administrator for about 5 years and have managed to acquire a broad set of skills (Linux, Redhat, Debian, OP5, GIT, Scripting, SQL, Release management). As a dream candidate you have a higher education within the field and have some previous programming experience.
