What you will do

As a Senior Supplier Financial Analyst, will conduct financial evaluations, monitor risky suppliers, be involved in crisis handling and contract negotiations, and develop and implement risk mitigation and response actions in crises. Key responsibilities include:
* Conduct financial analyses and reviews of suppliers to evaluate their financial health and identify risks in all purchasing phases. Work proactively with risk detection and early warning signals in close cooperation with buyers, to mitigate potential risks for production disturbances due to suppliers' financial distress
* Monitor risky or distressed suppliers and develop and implement mitigation measures. Work closely with sourcing and legal teams to incorporate financial risk mitigation measures into contractual agreements with suppliers
* Drive negotiations with suppliers in financial distress to secure business continuity and minimize risk exposure for the company
* Build relationships with financially risky and distressed suppliers to ensure open communication and collaboration on financial risks and solutions
* Interface with buyers and suppliers in collecting and validating financial data from suppliers. Ensure Volvo receives timely information and updates in its Financial Scorecard systems, with support from the Purchasing Support Centre in Bangalore/India
* Participate in and drive projects within the team, including initiatives around continuous improvement and knowledge management, digital tools, focused research on risky segments and geographies, and negotiation training and tools

The Supplier Financial Risk & Restructuring Team is a global team of analysts and restructuring lawyers which pro-actively identifies and manages financial risks in Volvo's supplier portfolio and handles insolvency and restructuring cases when they arise. We are diverse, with team members located in all regions, and actively collaborate with all levels of management to enable strong partnerships with our supplier basis.

Who are you?

BA degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar and minimum 5 years of experience from similar position, preferably from a Purchasing background
Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
Good computer skills (MS Office software programs)
Excellent analytical skills combined with good business understanding. Ability to assess overall risk combining supplier financial data, ownership structure, market intelligence, bankruptcy regulation, Volvo business risks, etc.
Problem-solving abilities and good understanding of the Purchasing activity in commercial vehicle industry and business analyses
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, including contract negotiation
Strong personal credibility, integrity, and creativity
Teamwork oriented - build relationships within the organization, share information, and work to achieve common goals
