The Division's Innovation function has a key role in developing new applications and solutions addressing well identified customer needs. The newly established Innovation Centre in Stockholm hosts versatile talents in research & development, business development and marketing working together to reach our ambitious goals.

Innovation centre for biomaterials is now looking for a Senior Specialist Business Development - Cellulose products to join the Innovation Centre for Biomaterials in Stockholm. Your role will be to successfully bring Innovation centre for biomaterials new products and technologies in the cellulose area to the market. You will develop the technical applications and verify the benefits of the new products and technologies. You will closely cooperate with other areas of Biomaterials innovation team: R&D, business development, sales, market intelligence, EHS & regulatory and as well as external partners and customers.

Your role is critical in developing the new applications and market segments, learn and communicate how the future customer should use our new products and technologies in the best possible way and translating unmet customer needs into new business leads for Stora Enso. This is a very exciting role and you will have the opportunity to be part of a growing team that is key to our journey towards a truly renewable materials company.

Main tasks:

* Identify and successfully develop applications for our new products and technologies in the cellulose area
* Gather a deeper understanding of the target markets including different production processes, raw materials, cost levels, competing products & technologies and end-uses.
* Build a strong technical expertise in how our products and technologies function in the target markets' different production processes and for different end-uses, also compared with currently available products & technologies.
* Communicate technical information about our products and train external partners in using them.
* Develop technical data sheets, usage instructions and other presentation material.
* Propose and clearly articulate a strong value proposition in the target markets including key technical properties, technical & economic vectors of differentiation, functional benefits and compelling reasons to buy.
* Build and effectively manage relationships with external partners (e.g. test institutes, potential customer).
* Participate in and contribute to product trials and application tests.
* Close the feedback loop and feed external input back into the R&D and innovation pipeline.
* Manage the projects according to the strategic objectives and KPIs agreed upon with the supervisor.
* Proactively identify new business opportunities for a sustainable and profitable growth in biomaterials leveraging internal and external technology & business intelligence sources.



Core Qualifications & Skills

* An advanced degree in Engineering, Natural Sciences and/or Material Sciences is required.
* A total working experience of minimum 3-5 years is required.
* Good technical knowledge in one or more of the following areas is required:

* Microfibrillated cellulose & pulp
* Paper & fiber-based material industry
* Chemical industry

* Experience from developing new applications for polymers, fibers or chemicals is strongly preferred.
* Understanding of the process of sourcing and/or selling of technical products is strongly preferred.
* Strong communication and presentation skills as well as the ability to build effective working relationships within multicultural teams across geographies and backgrounds are required.
* Fluent in English both written and spoken.
* Good project management abilities are strongly preferred.
* Able to show strong performance, prioritize, and manage resources efficiently.
* Willingness to travel.
