Our client, Rogue Wave Software, in Sollentuna, is currently recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer who is a team player and willing to handle a wide variety of tasks on a daily basis.
Position Summary:
Be part of a team building the latest HPC performance tools for demanding, parallel environments. Work with a core team of infrastructure engineers providing advanced capabilities for the ThreadSpotter performance tools. Design and develop C++ code to work in a variety of cross-platform Linux/UNIX/Windows environments. Design and develop algorithms and heuristics for collection, categorization and presentation of performance advice in various environments.
Job Responsibilities:
Design, modify and develop software for the ThreadSpotter performance tool and related technologies. Utilize a strong test driven development approach to validate written code and requirements. Strong planning and prioritization skills.
Business and Technical Competencies:
Experience writing multi-threaded programs; developing experience in different UNIX/Linux/Windows environments; demonstrated understanding of computer architecture concepts; and a solid testing discipline are all required to be successful in this position. Specialized knowledge and skills that are highly desired include familiarity with OpenMP and MPI environments; cross-platform development; experience with software performance measurement and optimization as well as numerical computing and statistics; demonstrated test driven development; and the ability to work and plan independently and share knowledge with others. Agile planning experience; hands on development experience using STL, C# and Boost; experience developing in parallel/multi-process computing environments especially HPC. Familiarity with DWARF/ELF library formats, symbol tables and one or more of Clik, Ct, TBB, ArBB, CUDA or OpenCL. Experience working with compiler or debugger design and implementations, developing plugin tools to IDE's; kernel mode development; TCP/IP network programming; graph algorithms and combinatorics; HTTP, CSS, JavaScript and related frameworks. Knowledge of Assembly and one or more platforms.
Education:
Requires a Master's Degree or higher in Computer Science.
Work Experience:
Demonstrated 5+ years of development experience in UNIX/Linux/Windows. Strong development experience and strong C++ development skills are necessary to be considered for this position. A fundamental knowledge of calculus and statistics is required. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and speech. Knowledge in Swedish language is desirable to facilitate social and cultural collaboration between colleagues.
