ABB HVDC Ludvika is now looking for an experienced Senior Site Manager within Field Operations/ Site Management. In this role, you will work as Site Manager on global project assignments for HVDC projects. Your main challenges will be to ensure that construction, installation and commissioning works at our project sites are managed safely and efficiently with handing-over of the site to our clients on time and below budget. As Senior Site Manager, you will be overall responsible for all activities on site and for managing your team with a strong focus on HSE and integrity. You will report functionally to the Manager of Site Management and project wise to the project organization.

Main working tasks
• Overall responsibility for all activities on site including construction, installation and commissioning works.
• Responsibility for HSE and integrity at site and for establishing good cooperation and trust within the site team based on ABB:s and HVDC ethical norms and values.
• Management and daily follow-up of sub-contractors at site with support from our sub-contracting function. Handle deviations, scope changes and claims.
• Responsibility for client interaction at site with focus on the timely delivery and handing-over of the HVDC station to the client.
• Ensure that HVDC processes and procedures for site works are followed, including reporting to the project and line organization.
• Contribute to the further development of routines and processes within site management.

• A university degree within the electrical, mechanical or civil area or equivalent working experience.
• At least 10 years previous experience from international site or project management in large complex organizations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Pragmatic oriented with good common sense and a clear morale compass.
• Fluency in English is a must. Other languages are advantageous.
• Experience from construction, installation and/ or commissioning of high voltage systems, preferably HVDC, is an advantage.

In addition to our formal requirements, we assume you are a social, cooperative, independent and structured person with good leadership skills and a good human sense. You also have an ability to combine the need for efficiency and business orientation with caring of your staff at site.

You will be part of HVDC within the Power Grids division in Ludvika. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 60 years and is used to transmit power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems.
