As a Senior R&D Engineer we need you to strengthen our Power Technology team working to develop and use new technology and applications in Micro Grids (local independent low-voltage grids); enabling micro production, load-shifting, de-loading the grid, understanding new components, grid codes, and improve the electrical safety, control and overview of the Micro Grid.

Your responsibilities as Senior R&D Engineer
Responsibilities include leading and working in R&D Distribution projects as well as offering technical support to the Distribution Business Area and Markets Business Area. You will be involved in strategic development and business case analysis for Micro Grid solutions including connection of new electrical components, knowledge about system services etc. You will develop functional requirements and technical solutions.
Your qualifications and personal skills as Senior R&D Engineer
Necessary qualifications are knowledge about electrical systems (from distribution down to household voltage levels), electrical components, IT, system services, as well as a deep interest for customer?s interest and behaviors. Knowledge of any power system software like PSCAD or PSS/E is advantageous. Understanding of distributed generation, batteries, power electronics, photovoltaics, and ancillary services like voltage regulation and frequency control is also advantageous.
You hold a university degree in Electrical Engineering; Power Technology or similar, with a minimum of three years relevant work experience. Fluency in English is a prerequisite, a good command of Swedish is desirable.
You are analytical, committed and self-driven with good communication and interpersonal skills. You are able to develop rough ideas and ambitions into concrete and successful projects. As the work involves extensive interaction both internally and with external partners and suppliers, a good understanding of commercial aspects and an ability to establish and maintain relationships and networks is key.
