Innovation and R&D develops new renewable cellulose materials for consumer packaging applications. The unit also produces demonstrators and packaging prototypes of the developed materials in its potential field of applications. Projects are launched within the whole scope of developing and introducing new material and solutions to the market.
Description
We are searching for a senior project manager or senior specialist to Innovation and R&D, Consumer boards division.
You will be involved in initializing and developing a program "World Class Coating" for board and paper in the Consumer Board division. Your task is to deepen the knowledge base within the area coating and related sciences e.g. new innovative raw materials, polymers, colloidal chemistry and application technologies as well as to further strengthen our core competence actively building and expanding the internal and external contact network and developing our pilot facilities. The program includes projects that will have participants from innovation and R&D other parts of Consumer Board division as well as from external R&D providers and suppliers. This will require good interpersonal and cultural skills as well as the ability to co-create with customers in complex projects and international environment. Traveling will thus be a natural part of your work. The position offers a good opportunity to further develop your skills and network while working in the research and innovation frontier of cellulose based materials.
For the senior project manager position, you will have the full responsibility to manage your projects to fulfill and deliver on agreed targets within agreed budget frames and scope definitions. We expect you to actively contribute to our project culture and project excellence.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role we believe that you have a Master of Science in chemistry, chemical engineering, technology or other education or experience that can be judged equal. You have 3 years of project management experience and at least 7 years of experience as specialist or line manager. IPMA C level certification alternatively PMP certification complemented with leadership training is considered a merit.
Academic credits in colloidal or surface chemistry and a PhD in a relevant technical area is considered a merit. You also have experience within at least the areas of mineral coating or and Barrier coating.
We are searching for a person with Strong interpersonal skills who has the willingness to develop and maintain a strong network in Stora Enso as well as with external R&D providers. You have good ability to work in matrix organizations and market and communicate project results. Further on you have the ability to develop and maintain the network of project stakeholders. Fluent English, both written and spoken are needed.
