hela Sverige Looking for a great job creating games? Ubisoft Massive is currently looking for a Senior Online Programmer to join us in working with our groundbreaking MMO.
About the position
You will be part of a team of online programmers where quality and attention to detail is highly valued. You will also work close to both game-designers and operations. The position is full time and on site at our studio in Malmö in the south of Sweden.
Our dream candidate
You are an online back end programmer with focus and passion on creating the servers and services that are the backbone of our unannounced MMO. You have a deep understanding of scaling server structures and MMO services and your motivation comes from uptime, reliability and scalability of the services you create. You have at least a few years of professional experience and you are motivated by working with a combination of your two passions, server programming and gaming. You have a strong understanding of MMO games and enjoy playing at least one in your free time.
Tasks include:
• Design and implementation of new systems, while improving systems in place
• C++ and/or PHP programming
• Databases
• Scalability, stability, and security testing of services
• Tools & Monitoring systems
Profile:
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to change
• Strong communication skills
• Teamwork skills
• MMO gaming experience is a plus
Required skills and experience:
• Excellent C and/or C++ programming skills
• Experience of server programming
• Experience of distributed systems
• Experience in high- and low level scalability issues
• Good understanding of Software Engineering principles
