On behalf of one of our clients we are looking for a Senior Medicinal Chemist for a temporary assignment in Stockholm. The assignment will start immediately and proceed until the end of December.
Responsibilites:
You will work within preclinical projects, performing organic synthesis of different compounds and analyzing the compounds by using different techniques.
Your main tasks will be:
• Synthesis of target compounds for screening.
• Design of target molecules
• Exploring SA/PR (Structural Activity/Property Relationship)
• Determining and analyzing the synthesized structures
• Actively participate in the project and group discussions

We are looking for a person with a PhD in organic/medicinal chemistry and several years experience from Medicinal Chemistry within the pharma- or biotech industry. You have a wide knowledge in organic/medicinal chemistry in terms of organic synthesis and compound design.
Since you will work in different project groups it is very important that you are a strong team player with excellent communication- and social skills. It is also important that you are flexible and have the ability to move to other projects whenever needed in order to optimize the resources. You are ambitious, enthusiastic and goal oriented and have a genuine interest in pushing forward the projects you are involved in. You are analytical and structured and always strive to achieve the highest quality in everything that you do. You are able to work effectively under pressure and to deliver within the deadlines. For this position we require excellent oral and written English and a good knowledge in chemistry- and structure databases.
Personal suitability is of great important for this position.
