In this pivotal role you will lead and develop the proof of concept department within the center of excellence for motion & control (Olsbergs BU). The CoE M&C develops control system solutions for several divisions within HIAB. Proof of Concept is providing the mapping of not presently used, emerging and future technologies and technical concepts that are relevant for the company as well as for the industry.
The position can be based across one of our sites: Hudiksvall, Vallentuna, Eksjö, Minerbio, Zaragoza and Stargard.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Evaluate new technologies
Map next generation technologies
Execute early phase concept development and evaluation
Contact and collaborate with universities
Apply for external funding and grants for development initiatives
Help synchronizing relevant stakeholders
Keep up to date with new technologies and trends
Motivate, lead and inspire the PoC department
Continuously develop staff in accordance with the PDP process
Contribute to the strategy work of the CoE M&C
Act as member of the leadership team of CoE M&C
Act as an interface to product management and relevant councils and steering committees.
What you'll need to succeed
Education:
Master of Science in Engineering with specialization in software development, electronics or equivalent education/experience.
Working experience:
Experience in software and hardware development
Experience within proof of concept type of work
Experience in strategy work (definition and execution)
Leadership experience.
Competence and skills:
Software and hardware development
Project management
Leadership.
