The Role
Do you want to take part in a journey to renew and develop the IT infrastructure within an organization that takes care of their employees?
As a Senior IT Infrastructure Aministrator at UniCarriers you will play a key part for one or several IT Infrastructure areas like servers, storage, security, network etc. as part of a team of 5. The team is responsible for the data centers at UniCarriers Europe located in several countries and in Microsoft Azure. The job is within the IT department and you will report directly to the IT Infrastructure Manager. You will also work closely with the UCE IT Delivery Managers in Europe, in order to maintain and develop UniCarriers group infrastructure strategies.
Your main task will be to plan, deliver and support technical infrastructure tasks and projects. As a Senior IT Infrastructure Administrator you will provide technical advice, support and assistance to ensure that the business can deliver successful projects where IT is a key component. This is accomplished by acquiring a thorough understanding of components, products, services and its contractual commitments, by analyzing the existing environment and advising improvements. In addition to this, you are responsible for providing line technical support to the UniCarriers head office in Gothenburg and across all other European sites within the organization.
Key technical areas
We believe that you have demonstrable prior experience of:
• Microsoft Server architecture and design.
• Server Storage and Network hardware, installation & support.
• Data backup, Disaster Recovery.
• VMware/Azure environment management, installation, upgrades and support.
• Networking technologies (Switching, routing, wireless, firewalls) installation & support.
• Monitoring solutions.
• Experience in supporting large hybrid environments with more than 100 servers.
Your background
To succeed in this role we believe that you previously worked with advanced infrastructure tasks such as virtualization of servers, networks (WIFI, V-LAN, switches), MPLS, firewalls, etc. Preferable you have worked in different systems and with large environments. In addition, we believe that you have a few years of experience with Microsoft Azure or other Cloud Solutions.
As a person, you are meticulous, you are able to plan ahead and you'd rather see solutions than problems. You have a highly professional proactive work ethic and work well within a team. The person should also have experience with problem-solving, trouble-shooting, be able to organize their own workload. It is important that you are good at prioritizing your work and are flexible. You enjoy working in a team but have the ability to independently push things forward.
