Digital & Connectivity Consumer Services (DCCS) department is developing end-user and consumer digital services and strengthening development and delivery of digital services to our retail value chain. They will design an architecture that is prepared to meet our future business needs and enables development of interfaces to develop new services and exchange of information.
The Innovation & Digital Services (IDS) is delivering leading innovation services. It identifies and develop new business opportunities with the purpose to capture value in new areas, typically outside and beyond current core businesses. As Senior Innovation Manager within IDS you will lead innovation activities throughout the whole innovation process.
The role is challenging and as you will work along the whole Innovation process, you will further develop your leadership skills and ways to navigate within a large organization. You will also broaden your external engagement and network as we often work with different constellations in our innovation concepts.
Main responsibilities
* Lead and evaluate concepts or investigations regarding idea generation, project management, business model development, development of prototypes, testing and evaluating with customers both B2B and B2C in order to achieve potential value for Volvo Cars.
* Based on innovation ideas, explore new business opportunities with external parties both nationally and globally in a highly creative way.
* Plan and facilitate workshops (business modelling, ideation, customer evaluation etc.) and actively work with refining the workshop methods.
* Maintain and develop methodologies for ideation and innovation management.
* Manage ideas from Global Idea Generation, Workshops, contests, idea tool etc.
* Coach and sponsor innovation projects initiated by other departments or by junior innovation leaders within the Innovations Office.
Required qualifications:
* Bachelor 's degree or M. Sc. Degree in relevant area or equivalent experience
* At least 10 years of progressive responsibility as Innovation manager or other adequate senior experience.
* Project Management experience.
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)

* Good communication skills with good presentation technique
* Entrepreneurial mind-set.
* Business acumen and good understanding of future trends, technology and new business models.
* Capability to build and maintain good business relationships.
* Creative mind-set
