Senior Group Manager New Car Management - Volvo Cars Product Marketing

At MARKETING, SALES & CUSTOMER SERVICE (MS&CS) you are part of a global team with the mission to ensure that all consumer touch points reflect our brand essence of 'Designed Around You' and that all services deliver a true luxury experience. We oversee all commercial activities for Volvo Car Corporation (VCC) across the world, including marketing communication, customer interaction, sales and service. Product Marketing is part of the Sales department within MS&CS. Product Marketing is working with the global creation and implementation of New Car Market Equation including, volume, pricing & positioning strategies on car, trim level and option, to secure a profitable and premium price positioning. We are also the voice of the market into VCC center.
For the New Car projects within VCC we secure through consumer and market insights a Revenue Optimised Market equation at all gates, this to ensure VCC profitable growth and that we take the correct, fact based product decisions in the Product Creation Process.

As SENIOR GROUP MANAGER NEW CAR MANAGEMENT you will lead a team of three people and you will be the leading functional leg of the New Car Management group. You are instrumental in the discussion and formulation of Product Marketing Strategies, New Car Program Market Equation and will manage the approval and implementation process at a market level.
The right candidate is a proven performer with strong analytical skills with ability to interpret, compile and communicate financial data in a clear and concise way. You will have the freedom to influence the way you work and the role will implicate an opportunity for personal development in an international atmosphere.

Job profile:

Additionally to specifically manage the team of New Car Management, the main task of the Senior Group Manager is the following:
• Continually develop and adjust strategies for the positioning of Volvo Car Corporation products and services against the competitive environment in a manner that optimizes the long term market equation for the total Volvo enterprise with global scope, together with a focus particularly on price positioning
• Manage the positive and active implementation of these strategies and policies to reach the desired Company positioning through the resources of the team
• Manage the "Up to process" which is the concept phase of a new Car program and deliver the Market Equation for the Blue Book content, which is the income part of the total equation in the New Car program
• Coordinate pricing/volume proposals for vehicle, power train and technology programs to ensure consistent value proposition and revenue maximisation
• Follow up pricing best practices across nameplates & markets to ensure consistent processes & strategies are applied - monitor pricing proposals, guidelines & strategies for consistency & provide training where appropriate
• Manage ad-hoc studies and projects as appropriate to the general objectives of the department

Your profile:
• Academic degree with distinction, preferably in the areas of marketing and sales or engineering with marketing focus
• Excellent leadership and Project management skills
• Ability to have and develop a deep and holistic understanding of the company to be able to manage and make business decisions
• Experience from top Management deliverables and presentations
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A can-do attitude and desire for improving the business on a daily basis
• High integrity and strong business acumen
• Team player and ability to communicate cross organisation
• Proficient in both written and spoken English, other languages desirable
• Ability to support business cases using Excel & PowerPoint
• A passion for accuracy in numbers!
