SENIOR FIRMWARE ENGINEER

ABOUT THE JOB
As a Senior Firmware Engineer in Electrolux Professional, you will be part of a dynamic team committed to creating software and firmware for the electronic control and the user interface for food service, laundry, and beverage professional appliances.
Together we will develop the software to ensure the best experience, allowing our customers to use, configure, monitor and service the appliances, even remotely.
ABOUT YOUR TASKS
Helping to translate business needs and high-level requirements into technical specifications.
Supporting architecture definition (including safety relevant classified FW)
Creating and validating FW and SW modules fulfilling control system requirements, taking care of their design and development (technical specification, debugging, functional tests)
Adapting and extending existing software solutions, participating in brainstorming to define plans to implement required functionalities.
Creating reusable firmware components and libraries.
Working closely with the FW and SW architects to set development guidelines and create a clean, scalable, and maintainable software architectures.
Debugging, writing unit tests, and facilitating manual tests, to minimize the risk of encountering problems in the field.
Leading and supporting code reviews to share knowledge and help improve the team's technical skills.
Helping to create and organize documentation.
ABOUT YOU
Bachelor's or master's degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering.
Good proficiency in the English language.
C and C++ development.
Development on MCU based embedded systems (RTOS, schedulers, real time signal acquisition and processing).
Software architecture design, event-driven architecture, and design patterns (MVC, Event Listener, ...).
FW and HW integration on boards for controlling appliances (microcontrollers, relays, digital I/Os, ADCs, temperature sensors, power supply)
UI libraries like SEGGER emWin, QT, etc
Communication protocols (e.g. Modbus, CAN)
Embedded Systems (microcontrollers, ADCs, PWMs, serial communication, etc etc).
Distributed control systems (Master/Slave and/or Multimaster architecture).
Sensors (temperature, level, flow, pressure, humidity, etc).
Scripting with Python.
Git version control system.
Development of graphical user interfaces and frontend applications, JavaScript, and markup languages (Development with Qt Framework, QML).
Debugging analog and digital signals with oscilloscope.
Knowledge of software testing methodologies.
