The Group Accounting team is the finance function mainly for the Nordic region, Sweden being the largest, as well as various European countries. We consist of a diverse team with a mix of international and local experience, working in both English, as the official working language of Klarna, and Swedish, to establish a close relationship with local external authorities as well as our service providers. We thrive in a constantly changing and dynamic environment and provide lots of opportunities for personal and professional growth and development.
We are currently looking for either a Financial Accountant or a Senior Financial Accountant to join us in our exciting journey, so please keep reading to see if this might be you!
As part of our team, you are likely to have the opportunity to:
Be responsible for the internal reporting of one or several legal entities areas of responsibility
Contribute to / own internal and external financial reporting streams on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis
Reconcile G/L systems to the underlying sources and develop methods and tools to provide analytical insight
Take responsibility for accounting and reporting of relevant business transactions
Take part in / lead various projects and initiatives (e.g. mergers, acquisitions, automation, process improvements around monthly reporting and daily operations, balance sheet accuracy control)
Develop as a professional in an entrepreneurial organization that provides opportunity to work with your areas of interest

You should have:
University degree in either economics, finance, accounting, tax
5+ years of combined accounting and finance experience
Hands-on experience with Swedish GAAP K3 and ÅRKL
Experience with statutory reporting in IFRS environment (accounts preparation or as an auditor).
Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a team
Strong conceptual and problem solving ability, strong attention to detail
Willingness to have a diverse set of tasks and responsibilities
Working proficiency and communication skills in English. Other European languages are a plus

You might also have:
Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA or CIMA
Knowledge of the fintech, banks or payment services industry
Track record of process improvements
Hands-on experience in an enterprise level Accounting software (we use SAP S4)
Previous exposure to supervising and coaching junior team members
