Sobi is recruiting to an exciting position as Senior Director Internal Manufacturing. We are looking for an experienced and inspiring leader to be responsible for our biologics manufacturing and CMC development facility in Kungsholmen, Stockholm. As Senior Director of Internal Manufacturing at Sobi you will be a part of an organization full of knowledge and pride. This key leadership role will play a central part in the continuation of developing Sobi's internal manufacturing unit with focus on collaboration, people and maximizing the business. Publiceringsdatum2015-10-07Dina arbetsuppgifterSenior Director Internal Manufacturing reports to the Senior Vice President of Biologics Supply, is part of the senior leadership team, and is responsible for all aspects of manufacturing in the facility. The primary focus of the facility is the manufacturing of Factor VIII Drug Substance (ReFacto®AF) for our partner Pfizer. The ReFacto®AF business is an important value creator for the Sobi business overall and has a long history of successful delivery to our partner. In addition to the production of ReFacto®AF drug substance, the department also has an important role in our CMC development pipeline. There are three GMP pilot plants: one for eukaryotic cell cultivation, one for bacterial cultivation and one for purification.
Key responsibilities include:
• Lead and develop the Internal Manufacturing organization of approximately 65-70 colleagues consisting of teams within cultivation, purification and engineering functions.
• Support scale-up of new products from our pipeline or other projects.
• Responsibility and Accountability for all manufacturing aspects related to ReFacto Drug Substance and Pilot plant.
• Develop an organization and a structure that enables Manufacturing Operations to consistently and efficiently apply operational excellence.
• Provide leadership that builds a quality and compliance culture where every colleague is proactively acting with the patients in mind.
• In close collaboration with the Sobi end-to-end ReFacto®AF business director, continue to actively support our customer relationships and maintaining supply reliability.
• Maximize the value of the internal manufacturing and manage the process output, facility, real estate, budget and financial control.
• Be an active Business Partner for the Biologics Supply Leadership Team and engaged in our collaboration structure with Drug Design and Development.
Utbildning/erfarenhet
The right candidate have technical and scientific knowledge and proven skills and experience within the Life Science area preferably with specific focus on biopharmaceutical manufacturing, process development and/or quality operations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swedish is a requirement.
You have a track record of excellent leadership capabilities building a quality culture and leveraging operational excellence and it is important that you thrive in a matrix environment. Further you have previous experience in communicating your leadership via a management team and have proven capability in leading a diverse context of Subject Matter Experts and cross-functional teams. You have strong organization and analytical skills and are able to handle multiple tasks independently and manage priorities.
The suitable candidate should demonstrate Sobi's CARE-values and Patient centric way of working.
