Senior Consultant/Consultant, Plant Applications
Overview
A Senior Consultant/Consultant role within Bentley's Plant Professional Services team. This person will support all of the technical aspects related to the implementation of Bentley's Plant Applications into leading Owner Operators and EPC's, predominantly within Europe, but with the future opportunity to support global Projects. The role will be based from Bentley's offices in Gothenburg or Stockholm, Sweden.
Primary Responsibilities
• Setting and meeting Client expectations and ensuring Client satisfaction
• Providing technical consultancy in support of pre-sales activities, contributing technical content to Proposals
• Supporting project implementations through the full project lifecycle through to successful delivery
• Provides technical support, including on-site, to support existing Client implementations
Mandatory Skills
• Has a working knowledge of the Process Industry - it is anticipated that the candidate will have either an EPC or Owner Operator background, or have worked for an SI / Software Vendor associated to the Industry
• Experienced in working on Projects involving the delivery of customised software applications, understands the full project lifecycle (for the senior consultant role)
• Has supported pre-sales activities: delivering product demonstrations, presenting the solution architecture and product roadmap, formulating solutions, contributing technical sections to Proposals and deriving man-day estimates (for the senior consultant role)
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Strong interpersonal skills, possesses drive and ambition
• Good verbal and written communications skills
• MS Office Suite
• Practical experience in using either Autocad or Microstation
Desirable Skills
• Industry experience in Mechanical or Piping Plant design disciplines
• Knowledge of the Bentley Plant Design products AutoPLANT or PlantSpace Design Series
• Technical skills: SQL (Oracle or SQL Server),VB, XML/XSLT, ASP, HTML, MS Access/Excel
• Understands business needs related to Plant Information Management (data and documents)
Education
• Preferably educated to Degree level in an IT or Engineering discipline or similar experience.
