Who are we looking for?
As a senior buyer you will be leading all purchasing activities related to involvement of suppliers in engineering projects. You will be responsible of making sure that the segment strategy is implemented through the selection of the right suppliers and by continuously securing supplier performance within Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability and Risk Management.
You will also be responsible for activities such as supplier switch activities, follow-up of contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensure implementation and handling supplier crisis. You will be part of a dynamic team of experienced buyers supporting each other with the mission to develop and maintain a world-class supplier base!
Since you will be handling many issues and projects in parallel, you need to be structured and have strong administrative skills. You also need to be a very communicative person with the ability to build good and lasting relations. We are looking for a person with the following profile:
* Master of Science in Engineering
* Excellent spoken and written English
* Purchasing and negotiation experience is seen as a strong advantage
* Experience from truck or car industry is a merit
* Excellent analytical skills and a target-oriented approach
* Great communication, report writing and team working skills
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken
