We are now looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to strengthen up our commercial activities.

You will report to our Commercial Office Manager in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Business Development Manager you will be responsible for the commercial and financial development of Damco's Ocean and Air portfolios. You will deliver planned levels of additional and new ocean and air business from targeted customers.
• Accountable for New Business/Spot targets from new Premier customers, through the sale of Damco Products while simultaneously introducing and developing new opportunities with customers.
• Accountable for delivery of Additional Business and Contract Renewal targets for the assigned Existing Premier Customer Portfolio.
• Developing customer relationships with decision makers on all levels.
• Accountable for a seamless and timely transition of customer management from the Commercial team to our Operation teams.
• Supporting the resolution of Commercial and Customer Service Office reported customer issues, including interventions with customers to resolve escalated issues.
• Ensuring high customer satisfaction and an excellent customer experience.
Who we are looking for
We believe the ideal candidate has:
• 4 years+ in a customer facing sales role, ideally within the freight forwarding industry.
• A good understanding of logistics and forwarding products, solutions, pricing and terminology, in the local market.
• A strong understanding of Ocean and Airfreight products and regulations.
• Great relationship building skills.
• Proven track record of targeting, pursuing and winning large opportunities, through both personal and collaborative selling efforts.
• Well-developed communication, persuasiveness, influencing and presentation skills.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Fluency in the English and Swedish language.
