Klarna's Engineering Support department is responsible for the environments, applications and services that enable fast and safe deployment of software releases to the Live System. They manage the pipelines between development and live operations and build the necessary infrastructure to support the engineering department.

Klarna has about 190 engineers and multiple projects which require a skilled and versatile team of engineers who can handle assist on a variety of challenges from designing, planning, configuring and developing across multiple platforms and environments. The goal is to keep the flow of releases steady and with high quality, which means joining disconnected systems together and automating as much as possible.

Required skills
• 8+ years experience
• Software engineering or computer science background
• Excellent Linux background
• Good understanding of Chef (puppet, cfengine ok)
• Good working experience with Continuous Integration (preferably Jenkins)
• Experience with build automation (build systems, dependency management, release management, linux packaging)
• Experience with test automation (e.g. selenium, junit, testng, eunit, common_test)
• Experience with git
• Good database skills (Postgres, Mnesia, Riak)
• Good knowledge of web services, protocols, proxies and servers (REST, HTTP)

Preferable skills
• Software programming experience in at least one of the following: erlang, python, java, javascript, php, ruby, scripting
• Live system operations experience (24hr on-call for example)
• Worked with complex proprietary IT systems
• Experience with virtualisation (preferably Xen server/Cloudstack, Vagrant/virtualbox)
• Experience with automated testing on desktop and mobile platforms
• Experience with Continuous Delivery a big bonus
