Product Development Unit Radio (PDU Radio) drives the end-to-end research and development of products and solutions. We are a global organization, within Development Unit Networks (DNEW), of approximately 3,000 engineers that drives Ericsson's strategy to secure market leadership in radio and take a leadership position in 5G.
In the PDU Radios System department, Visions and world-leading products are born, the future technology is foreseen, and the best-performing features and functionality are developed. All creating the Radio Product portfolio that secures Ericsson technology leadership!
Our Exciting Opportunity
As a System Engineer you will manage radio product and technology evolution, high-level systemization, architecture definition, standardization, mid- and long-term development plans, and long-term product plans (products and features) for PDU Radio.
You will
Work as a visionary and create the future security solution for Ericsson's Radio Units as well as its secure interaction with other RAN elements
Work with the latest technical challenges. This includes Trusted Computing, Trusted Execution Environment, OS security, cryptography and HW and SW Platform security
Work strategically and promote realistic security steps
Collaborate with the most experienced radio engineers in the world. Constantly developing your technical competence and our products together with motivated specialists from all parts of Ericsson.
To be successful in the role you should have
Solid product development background in wireless communications
Long experience (> 5 years) from development of product security and telecommunication security
Deep knowledge (>5 years) of Radio access technologies (WCDMA, LTE, NR) and Radio Products
Deep understanding of security technologies and threats, as well as an experience from various threat modelling methodologies, computing platforms for security, trusted computing and operating systems security
Experience from an open -ource projects with focus on security features
Experience from OS hardening, e.g. with Linux
