www.takarabio.com We are looking for an enthusiastic, problem-solving, scientific driven person enjoying working in a product-oriented environment. The role is laboratory-based, supporting projects within product development and service application and contributing to the projects by providing technical and scientific input.
Desirable experience:
Ph.D. or M.Sc. degree in cell biology, molecular biology or relevant discipline.
General cell biology procedures and techniques.
Good knowledge in molecular biology techniques such as gene editing, CRISPR/CAS9, transfections, PCR, RT-PCR, immunohistochemistry, FACS, etc.
Experience with stem cells (hiPS/hESC); derivation, culturing, differentiation.
A good knowledge in the field of diabetes as well as previous work with beta cells and understanding of beta cell nature is beneficial.
General tasks and responsibilities:
Performs research and/or development in collaboration with others in different projects
Investigates, creates, and develops new methods and technologies for project advancement
Sets up, operates, and maintains laboratory equipment and apparatus
Collects, prepares, processes, and logs laboratory samples, solutions, and materials for testing an evaluation
Processes and summarizes data using scientific or statistical techniques
Assists in data interpretation and analyses
Performs assigned tasks requiring the application of standard procedures and techniques
Adheres to the QA/QC system
Assists in contributing data/findings for use in reports, documents, or verbal/written presentations.
Assists in contributions to scientific literature and conferences
May participate in development of patent applications
Additional duties as assigned
