AFRY is expanding its Transmission & Distribution business in Sweden and is looking for a Sales & Operations Manager to drive growth, profitability, and operational performance in one of the most important sectors of the energy transition. In this strategic leadership role, you will play a key part in developing AFRY's market position, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring successful delivery of projects that support the modernization and expansion of the power grid.
You will work closely with senior leadership and be part of one of the strongest Transmission & Distribution organizations in the Nordic region. Together with highly experienced specialists within substations, transmission systems, distribution networks, power system studies, FACTS and HVDC, you will contribute to shaping the future energy infrastructure of Sweden and beyond.

About the Role
You will hold a combined commercial and operational responsibility, driving both business development and project delivery across AFRY's Transmission & Distribution business in Sweden.
The role combines strategic business development, sales leadership, portfolio management and operational excellence. You will be responsible for driving profitable growth, developing key customer relationships and ensuring successful delivery across a portfolio of strategically important projects and framework agreements.
A key focus is solution-based sales, where AFRY combines advisory, engineering and project delivery capabilities to support utilities, network owners, developers and industrial clients in solving increasingly complex challenges related to electrification, grid expansion and energy transition.
You will collaborate closely with technical experts and business leaders across Transmission & Distribution, including substations, transmission systems, distribution networks, power system studies, FACTS and HVDC. The role provides significant exposure to both customers and AFRY's international organization.
The role reports to the Director & Head of T&D Sweden for Grid Integration, Substation and Distribution and includes close collaboration with Market Area Managers and other senior leaders across the business.
The role entails a full end-to-end responsibility for converting market opportunities into profitable delivery, ensuring alignment between sales, resource capacity and project execution.

Key Responsibilities
You will play a central role in driving the growth and performance of AFRY's Transmission & Distribution business in Sweden, combining commercial leadership with operational oversight.
Your responsibilities will include:
Driving profitable growth and supporting the long-term business strategy for Transmission & Distribution in Sweden
Building and managing a strong sales pipeline and leading major bids, capture strategies and customer pursuits
Developing long-term relationships with key customers including TSOs, DSOs, utilities, developers, contractors and industrial companies
Leading solution-based sales where AFRY's advisory, engineering and project delivery capabilities create measurable value for customers
Overseeing a portfolio of projects and ensuring successful delivery with respect to scope, schedule, quality and financial targets
Monitoring business performance through key financial and operational performance indicators
Supporting and coaching project managers, bid managers and technical specialists to achieve business objectives
Contributing to recruitment, competence development and organizational growth initiatives
Collaborating with AFRY T&D teams across Sweden and internationally on major projects and business opportunities
Contributing to the continued development of AFRY's strategy, offerings and market position within Transmission & Distribution

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
University degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline
Extensive experience within Transmission & Distribution, Power Systems or Energy Infrastructure
Proven track record in business development, sales leadership and customer relationship management
Experience managing larger project portfolios, operational teams or business units
Strong commercial understanding including contracts, negotiations, pricing and profitability
Experience working with complex customer engagements and multidisciplinary project organizations
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Fluency in Swedish & English

Experience within distribution, substations and substation automation
Experience leading organizational development and growth initiatives
