Work description
The Strategic Sales department secures that Scania is the preferred partner of sustainable bus system solutions. On a global basis we find, lead and develop high potential bus projects towards smarter and sustainable public transport solutions. We secure and close selected projects in cooperation with internal and/or external partners. This is done by building a strong commercial multilevel relationship to customers, authorities, politicians, partners and other stakeholders by promoting total transport solutions. We are also providing a vital link between these customers, Scania Sales & Services companies, and various department within Scania industrial and commercial organization.

The responsibility of the Sales Manager Projects and Sustainable Solutions is to strengthen, maintain and develop the relationship with selected customers and partners. You will be the face of Scania when meeting the customers management, very often at their headquarter. Together with Scania's Sales & Services companies you secure business opportunities and thereby maximize the consolidated value delivered by Scania to the customers. You will be responsible for negotiations with end customers as well as being the internal commercial project leader. This is done by leading cross functional Scania activities, securing knowledge of customer organization and needs of products & services.
The Sales Manager Projects and Sustainable Solutions monitors Scania activities in each market related to high potential bus projects and is being the catalyst to provide added value to the customer.

The job will include daily contact with customers and distributors, and you are expected to travel a lot and visit markets on a regular basis.

Your profile
You are a problem solving team player with international business experience and a strong drive to develop our business. You have a solid commercial interest and enjoy working in a fast-moving and truly international environment.

Most likely you have a commercial or technical university degree or equivalent experience. Previous work in sales or a similar commercial activity is mandatory, and it is an advantage if you have experience of tender management and experience to run business with Profit & Loss responsibility. You master English in a fluent way, and it is a plus if you know Swedish or additional languages. You are already familiar with Scania and the products we sell.
