Main Duties and Responsibilities

The S&OP Manager is responsible for building capabilities and supporting the roll-out of the S&OP process, tools and capabilities worldwide within AirT. This will include:

Facilitating the design, build and deployment of the S&OP process, tools and capabilities in Regions, Products and Categories including documented process descriptions

Chair monthly S&OP meetings for each main factory (big five)

Take the lead and act as a trouble shooter in difficult supply chain situations to make sure that every one, Ops and Sales takes the appropriate actions to resolve the situation and report back to Sales and Ops Management

Implement 12 month rolling and monthly S&OP forecasting processes to ensure base case and upside demand forecasts are comprehensive, accurate and representative of the most appropriate demand plan in achieving Munters AirT business goals

Support and follow up that S&OP plans are captured and correctly reflected in the financial forecasts and plans locally, regionally and globally

Monitor the quality of the process, performance measures and principle improvements and identifying and sharing best practices

Develop metrics and collaborate with the commercial organization to improve forecast accuracy

Develop metrics and collaborate with the operations organization to optimize lead-times and supply chain flexibility

Ensuring change management training, education and techniques to drive alignment with the S&OP principles

Actively participate in various cross-portfolio initiatives including tools and system enhancements to support forecasting processes and reporting

Participate in or lead other initiatives and projects relating to cross functional processes involving design, selection and manufacturing

On a as required basis, support the Product Management and R&D functions with the coordination and planning of new product launches between Sales and Operations

Needed Skills and Background

Excellent process and project management skills

Demonstrated ability to lead and/or work effectively in a highly-collaborative multicultural environment by influencing without authority

Demonstrated ability to structure and conduct analyses to generate insight and recommendations with a keen eye for details

Communication skills geared toward presenting recommendations and analyses to executives

Excellent problem solving and Excel-based modeling skills

Proven track record of working effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment

Experience in demand forecasting, sales reporting, or strategic planning

Demonstrated ability to manage data systems for business analysis, financial planning and reporting

BSc or MSc degree with major in Logistics or Finance preferable

Substantial experience with Building and Implementing S&OP processes and procedures

Fluent in English, any other relevant language skill is a clear advantage

The Business Area Air Treatment is adding a global position of S&OP Manager to support the significant growth and expansion the Business Area is targeting within the strategic planning period. Air Treatment is well positioned in the marketplace to realize the ambitious agenda. The top line growth will primarily be generated organically but may also come from acquisitions. The new S&OP Manager will be an important contributor in the process of planning and coordination between Sales and Operations and report to the Vice President Finance and Business Control, Business Area Air Treatment, Maj-Britt Hällmark.

Main purpose
S&OP is a key business function and successful implementation will result in improvements to customer service, business forecasting and planning, working capital optimization and stock management as well as improving the quality of the decisions taken throughout the business.
