We are currently looking for a Resource Manager for our global IT organization who wants to take part in building our future workplace and project culture within global IT. You will be working with the technologies and processes of the future in a company on the cutting edge of its industry. The position is based in Sandviken.
Key performance areas
As Resource Manager you will be part of our global IT Project Office and a key individual in providing resources for our global projects. Our clients are internal, coming from our sales and production markets. You will be responsible for allocating external resources based on contracts, and will follow up the time used by these resources. You will work on resource planning in close cooperation with our project leaders and work closely with our Sourcing Manager with respect to procurement and renewal of contracts.
This position is a strategic investment within global IT in as much as our goal is to maintain a dynamic organization by utilizing independent contractors for project competencies. You will play an important part in the building of our project office, where you will both own the resource allocation process and be responsible for communication and template documentation for our global project methods.
As we work globally and with consultants in the IT area, our way of working is very virtual and places great demands on your communicative abilities, with much of our work is done by distance methods such as telephoning, writing and video conferencing.
There is no need to travel in this position other than for possible training purposes.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a relevant academic background or equivalent knowledge acquired elsewhere. You should have at least three years' experience in resource allocation and/or project management in the IT area. It is important that you understand competency needs for IT projects. We prefer that you are experienced in negotiation with sub-contractors. Experience of contract negotiation is advantageous, as is experience of project and portfolio models such as PROPS and PPS, and of project tools. Good communicative ability in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is a requirement.
As we work primarily with consultants, you will be the key person for contributing to the creation of a feeling of group solidarity in the project office for global IT. You are communicative and have the ability to find the right person for the right assignment at the right time. You also deploy resources in a cost-effective way, as this is a crucial piece of the puzzle in our delivery of project quality in global IT and the project office. You are driven to develop yourself and the business, like being on top of things, can juggle several balls at a time and enjoy a challenge.
