At the Dept of radiation physics research on various aspects and uses of radiation are included. Ionizing radiation is a part of radiation therapy and diagnosis with x-rays and radioactive substances, and non-ionizing radiation is included in diagnosis with ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging. In the environmental radiology radiation sources in our environment and transport of radioactive materials in biological systems are studied. Knowledge of the impact of radiation on living cells and organisms (radiation biology) is important for assessing the radiation risks.
The current research group conducts studies in environmental radiology and radioecology.
Job assignments
Research in radiochemistry. Sample preparation and radioactivity measurements. Analyses of results and formulation of scientific reports of ongoing projects.
Qualifications
PhD degree and long-term experience of sample preparation and analysis of alpha particle emitting radionuclides in environmental specimens. Experience in project management.
Employment
Temporary, 20% employment, for 6 month. Placed at the Institute of Clinical Sciences, Gothenburg. Starting date; As agreed.
