Kort beskrivning av företaget: Through a collaborative research initiative between Sahlgrenska Academy and the Department of Cancer Immunology & Virology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI), Harvard Medical School (HMS), Boston, USA, joint high-quality research will be performed and as a consequence strengthen both institutions. The funding is available, by support of Iwan and Eleonore Ljunggren fund for medical research, for one year. Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter: You will be responsible for the design, planning and execution of a research project with the guidance of a faculty mentor, as well as data acquisition and analysis, manuscpript preperation and other training-related activities, including dissemnination of results in laboratory, departmental or external presentations. In addition to the faculty mentor, you will be guided by a senior research scientist in a highly collaborative enviroment. Working languages include English and Swedish.

Beskrivning av kvalifikationer: You should have a PhD in the field immunology and have experience of both experimental (in vitro) and clinical studies (patients). The experience should include work with cell cultures, specifically primary cell cultures of T and B cells and monocytes. Documented experience of flow cytometry, FACS, ELISA and ELISPOT is requested. Particularly experiences of gut infection in children and its correlation to immunological responses are of importance. Proven ability to initiate, conduct and publish research, as judged from first-authorship of a manuscript in a peer-reviewed journal. Excellent knowledge of spoken and written scientific English and strong presentation skills are essential. Strong interpersonal skills will be essential for successful integration into the collaborative and collegial work enviroment. The selection of a candidate is done jointly by Department of Cancer Immunology & Virology, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Sahlgrenska Academy.
