We are looking for a Research Engineer to our section within the field of column packing from process development scale columns up to manufacturing size columns. This is a temporary 12 month assignment during the period 01042015 ? 31032016. Please submit your application no later than March 1st. Essential Responsibilities
Your main contributions will be in the lab, hands-on, most often in different project team settings but sometimes also with own assignments. Our section works in the interface between our media and systems departments and with much interaction with the customer built systems department, product marketing, FastTrak and customers.
Be a team member in key projects where column packing development/verification is required
Plan and secure execution of own experiments and secure reporting of results both in writing and when required orally
Design and functional verification of columns used in pilot and manufacturing scale
Development of packing methods for existing and new chromatography media and resins
Active participation in developing our ways of working in the section to become more efficient
Qualifications/Requirements
M.S. or equivalent in chemical engineering, biochemistry or related field
English and Swedish as working languages
Experience and skills in working in the lab
Good computer skills
Flexible and with excellent communication skills
Great interest in learning new things
EU work permit
Desired Characteristics
Goal oriented with delivery focus
Ability to work independently, alone as well as with others
Experience and good knowledge of ÄKTA systems and UNICORN is a benefit
