hela Sverige In the CDN and Cloud Computing Research within Research Area Packet Technology we focus on research related to these technologies and how they interact and best could be supported by the underlying networks.
We are now recruiting a Researcher who has a genuine interest in researching new and innovative solutions as well as a strong drive and ability to implement ideas in working prototypes. You have a drive to be at the forefront of technology and are likely already now participating in open source development projects or similar. Cloud Computing, OpenStack and Networking are probably some of your interest areas for you.
We work in teams with a high degree of individual responsibility and authority. We welcome a will to lead master thesis students. You will be exposed to a wide variety of tasks and will interact with other research organizations and customers.
CDN and Cloud Computing Research is part of the global Research Area Packet Technology and works in joint projects tight together with fellow researchers in Finland, Hungary, China, Canada and USA. We always operate in the forefront of technology!
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a:
• Solid competence in Computer Science and Programming
• Good understanding of Computer Networking
• Hands on Experience from Developing SW for Distributed Systems
• Hands on experinece from Openstack and Python is an advantage
• Good knowledge of at least 3 different programming languages Experience and/or intresst to write scientific papers
You should also have:
• A fresh MSc degree with some experience.
• An ability and interest to lead thesis workers
• An ability to take own initiative and result oriented
• Excellent skills in English (written and spoken)
• Excellent communication and co-operation skills
