hela Sverige We are looking for a fixed-term position as research assistant 26 July 2021-25 August 2021 at Örebro University, the School of Criminology, Law, Psychology and Social work, the Law Unit.
Background
At the School of Criminology, Law, Psychology and Social work there is a unique combination of subjects in the form of social work, psychology, law and criminology. This exciting blend facilitates interaction, exchange of competencies and skills, and collaboration beyond subject boundaries. We are host to a number of strong research environments with prominent researchers, who are also involved in teaching at all levels. To us, international exchange and cooperation are important.
For this position, we need a highly competent expert in Korean value-added tax law (VAT) for a comparative study between Swedish and Korean VAT law. The research output will be published in a leading international journal in collaboration between a Swedish researcher and the Korean expert.
Duties and responsibilities
This position includes the following duties and responsibilities:
• A comparison between the Korean VAT Act when it was introduced in 1977 and today.
• A summary of the changes during this period
• Assist in a comparison between EU VAT Law and Korean VAT Law
• Assist in writing a scientific comparative article between EU VAT Law and Korean VAT Law
Qualifications
The person we are looking is an expert in Korean taxation. He/she has Korean as native language and excellent knowledge in written and spoken English, a bachelor's degree in business administration, law and/or taxation, and a master's degree in taxation. Research experience at doctoral level in taxation is an advantage.
Your knowledge and skills should include Korean value added tax.
Great importance will be attached to your personal qualities; the ability to work independently and a good track-record when it comes to cooperation. Experience of comparative studies between Sweden and Korea is an advantage.
We expect you to be flexible and open to change and that you take a quality-driven and responsible approach to your duties.

This is a fixed-term full-time position for 2 months at Örebro University, salary depends on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience. The work will be carried out online.
