Do you want to contribute to top quality medical research?
Allergy is one of the most common chronic diseases in Europe.

Micro-nanoparticles are present in the environment and part of our everyday life, but we do not know how the effect/impact they have on human health. We are seeking a highly motivated research assistant for a project investigating how exposure to micro-nanoparticles may influence the development of allergy.

Your mission
The successful candidate will investigate how exposure to micro-nanoparticles may influence allergenicity of food/respiratory allergens in vitro. We have attracted funding from the European Union Horizon 2020 and have an inspiring and interactive research environment with many national and international colleagues within different disciplins. Excellent laboratory facilities and well-characterized patient materials are available. The employment includes working with cell cultures and processing of blood samples, biobanking and analysis using different immunological assays. Careful documentation is required.

Your profile

You should hold a Bachelor or Master's degree in biomedicine, biochemistry/cell biology, or have otherwise acquired essentially equivalent competence in Sweden or abroad. Experience of work with human blood samples (Ficoll separation, culturing and in-vitro assays with primary cells and cell lines) and basic immunological techniques such as ELISA and Western blot are required. Knowledge of confocal microscopy and of basic protein chemistry (assays for protein concentrations and labeling) is an advantage. You are familiar with Microsoft Office, GraphPad Prism or similar statistical software. You are thorough, and used to planning, organizing and documenting your work. We are looking for someone who has a passion for research, is positive, flexible and enjoys team work. You have strong communication skills and excellent English, as the group and work environment is international and with many international collaborations.
