The Research Group for Decision Making and Managerial Behavior currently consists of six people with a common interest in developing knowledge that integrates economics and behavioral science, using experimental and statistical methods. Our research strives to be relevant and innovative for society as well as business within the green industries.
The Department of Economics at the Swedish University of Agriculture (SLU) announces a vacancy as a research assistant in the Research Group for Decision-making and Managerial Behavior.

The successful candidate will support the overall research taking place of the group. Key tasks are to help preparation of data and analysis of data with an emphasis on discrete choice data. Additional tasks include literature search, communication and outreach, transcription of interviews in Swedish and English. A good understanding of the food and agricultural sector is a requirement.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in economics or business studies with a strong focus on agriculture and food or another agricultural or food science degree. Applicants with imminent graduation (within three months) may also be considered for employment. Documented course credits in economics/business studies or quantitative method. The applicant should have documented experience of applied statistics or econometrics and experience with working in Stata. Good skills in Excel and Word are also necessary. Experience with behavioral experiments in the form of choice experiments is particularly valued. Because we also seek help with transcription of interviews and communication with stakeholders, applicants must be able to use Swedish fluently.
For the position, you need to be thorough and structured in your way of working. You also need to have a strong drive and be able to work independently. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
