Could you be the full-time Reliability Growth & Product Safety Engineer in Västerås we're looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety) expertise in a cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside dedicated, innovative, and collaborative teammates.
You'll contribute to delivering safe and reliable solutions specific to Brake Systems, ensuring that our projects and programs meet high standards of reliability, maintainability, availability, and safety. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (Project or Program Core Team, Engineering Metiers, Quality & Internal Safety Assessors), lead RAMS assurance activities, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders such as customers, operators, and safety authorities.
You'll specifically take care of implementing RAMS methodologies and performing reliability growth analysis, but also support certification activities and make design recommendations to meet RAMS targets.
We'll look to you for:
Leading, coordinating, and performing RAMS assurance activities across projects/systems/products
Applying RAMS assurance methodologies such as risk acceptance criteria, safety analysis, and verification & validation
Organizing and attending periodic safety reviews
Defending Safety Case argumentations and following up on action plans to address findings
Defining RAMS approaches, strategies, budgets, workloads, and associated planning
Delivering key RAMS deliverables such as Reliability Prediction, FMEA, Degraded Modes Analysis, and Service Reliability Modelling
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That's why we don't expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we've listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
Degree in Engineering or a related field
Experience or understanding of RAMS methodologies and processes
Knowledge of reliability prediction, FMEA, and safety analysis
Familiarity with operational data collection, root cause analysis, and statistical analysis
A certification in RAMS or related field
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience with subsystem-level development, particularly for Brake Systems, is an advantage
Things you'll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey - the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You'll also:
Enjoy stability, challenges and a long-term career free from boring daily routines
Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues
Contribute to innovative projects
Utilise our inclusive and dynamic working environment
Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries
Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning
Progress towards senior RAMS engineering or project leadership roles
Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)
You don't need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you'll be proud. If you're up for the challenge, we'd love to hear from you!
