to support worldwide patient safety
Do you want to be part of a team that works with Patient Safety within the WHO Programme for International Drug Monitoring? We are now looking for two pharmacists to join the Safety Support and Services department to replace one of our pharmacists that are on study leave until mid of March 2009 and one to cover a work peak until January 2009, prolongation might be possible.
Job description:
Coding drugs into WHO Drug Dictionaries
• identifying ingredients
• assigning ATC-codes
Quality assure data in the dictionaries
Mapping drug names on adverse drug reaction reports from the member countries
Your experience and skills
We expect you to be meticulous and knowledgeable in pharmacology.
The competences we need are:
• Pharmacist education (receptarie)
• Good written and spoken English; other languages are of benefit especially Chinese
We prefer you to:
• like working with computers and registers
• be organized
• have basic knowledge in Microsoft programmes like Word and Excel
• have some experience seeking information in international literature.
