So, who are we looking for?
As an R&D Project Manager at Westermo you will drive projects from idea/concept stage all the way to serial production in our very own factory.
The Westermo brand is representing very high quality and robustness in the eyes of our customers along with our strong ability to solve their challenges, using our software, hardware and application know-how. We act globally and in a big variety of markets such as Trains, Track side, Power Industry and Infrastructure.
If You choose to join Westermo, you will be part of a team of 6 friendly and dedicated Project Managers, working side by side helping each other out, sharing knowledge and experiences. This team is also eager to improve our way of working going forward . We like to work in a structured yet pragmatic way.
We are continuously running a number of R&D projects in parallel, and you will be responsible for one or several of them. Our Projects can be initiated both internally, by our Product Management department, or by our customers or partners.
In your role as R&D PM you will lead the day-to-day execution of your project, as well as, long term planning, financial follow up and reporting to your Project Steering Committee. You will interact with team members and stakeholders from many different fields including Electronics, Mechanics, Software, Purchasing, Production, Marketing, Product Management and potentially Suppliers, Customers or Partners.

Minimum requirements
• Academic degree in Engineering or equivalent acquired knowledge/experience
• At least 4 years of experience of Product Development, preferably within electronics
• At least 2 years of experience of R&D Project Management
• Very good knowledge in Swedish and English both written & spoken
• A good understanding of several of the following areas:
• Electronics Development
• HW/SW Interaction
• Mechanical Design
• Production and Production testing
Preferred qualifications
• Project Management training /certification
• Knowledge in MS Project
• Experience of working with Production
• Experience in designing for test and manufacturing
• Experience of working with Customers/Partners
