We are looking for an R&D Lead Engineer to strengthen the Development team in our global Engineering organization. In this position you are the technical project manager for development projects. You will work closely to other functions internally, both within Engineering and with Sales Engineering, Procurement and Customer Service.
You will be placed in Vika, Falun and report to Development Manager.
Your responsibilities
• Analyze and evaluate new opportunities such as new design and improving existing products
• Conduct pre-studies and manage R&D projects
• Approve and communicate new design in products
• Ensure that our products are compliant to international directives and standards as well as customer requirements and company policy
• Provide technical support and expertise cross functionally
• Monitor technology development in the field through customer visits, exhibitions and technical literature
• Ensure appropriate reporting and documentation
• Fulfill time plan and budget for R&D projects
The successful candidate will have the following profile
Education & Job experiences:
• BSc or MSc in engineering or equivalent
• 2+ years of engineering experience
• Experience of CAD, preferably Inventor and Vault
• Experience from leading technical projects, preferably with customer contacts involved
It 's a plus if you have a proven record in development of technical solutions
Personal skills:
• Strong technical and analytical skills.
• Team orientated with good interpersonal skills and cooperation with colleagues and other departments.
• Good communication skills with ability to transfer your knowledge in an instructive, easy-to-understand way.
• Self-motivated and result oriented
• Well organized, highly motivated for the job and with an open attitude.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
