We currently have the following job opening;
Purchasing Manager Liaison Office
As a Purchasing Manager Liaison Office you will be responsible to foster the relationship between Purchasing Department Direct Material located in China with R&D Line organization located in Sweden. This open position is for powertrain.
Successfully manage and complete all Purchasing NPDS deliverables in support of the vehicle development. Work is of a challenging nature involving a considerable amount of perception, initiative and a high level of independent judgment.
In this role you will report to the Vice President for Program Purchasing & Liaison Office located in Sweden, CEVT.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Support the development of sourcing strategies and Commodity Business Plans within the area of responsibility.
- Actively support the sourcing activities to ensure implementation of strategy and to achieve full global leverage.
- Work and collaborate with the key stakeholders to achieve timely sourcing.
- Support and drive resolution and establish action plans on part-specific supplier issues.
- Support the DM organization to negotiate commercial and time consequences at suppliers connected to design changes in vehicle projects and establish agreements.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with relevant stakeholders and suppliers.
- Coordinate and maintain supplier capacity on global business with our customer
- Performs special assignments.
- Participate in cross functional teams.
- Launch Support for Major Vehicles
Profile and Background
- 5-10 years Purchasing experience from the automotive industry
- University degree in business, engineering or equivalent work experience
- Proven negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and establish effective team priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills and sense of business
- Strong work ethics and high integrity
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Swedish and English
- Cultural awareness, especially Asian - European culture Analytical Skills
- Good overall administration skills are needed including good knowledge in excel and power point
- High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
- High level of self-initiative and ability to work with minimal Supervision
- International experience will be an advantage
