Purchasing Manager Liaison Office
As a Purchasing Manager Liaison Office, you will be responsible to foster the relationship between Purchasing Department Direct Material located in China with R&D Line organization located in Sweden.
Successfully manage and complete all Purchasing deliverables in support of the vehicle development. Automotive business is currently undergoing a transformation to meet future requirement and customer demands. The Liaison role is therefore of a challenging nature involving a considerable amount of perception, initiative and a high level of independent judgment.
The role will require traveling and a close co-operation with China, and you will report to the Vice President for Program Purchasing & Liaison Office located at CEVT, in Sweden.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Key person bridging R&D Sweden and Geely Purchasing, China.
- Actively develop and support the sourcing activities to ensure implementation of strategy and to achieve targets and full global leverage.
- Work and collaborate with the key stakeholders to meet various gates and launches thru the project(s).
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with relevant stakeholders and suppliers.
- Participate in cross functional teams where business needs are, i.e Sweden, China
- Role requires flexibility that might require "special assignments" outside the role.
- Support, drive, establish actionplans etc - to ensure resolution on supplier issues.
- Support in various negotiations; commercial, time related challenges, capacity, design changes and establish final agreements.
Profile and Background
- 5-10 years Purchasing experience from the automotive industry
- International experience is a requirement
- University degree in business, engineering or equivalent work experience
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and establish effective team priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills and sense of business acumen
- Strong work ethics and high integrity
- Experience working internationally - emphasis on European / Asian cultures
- Strong analytical and organizational skills - experience complex problem solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Swedish and English. Ability to communicate in Mandarin is a plus.
- High level of self-initiative and ability to work with minimal Supervision
- Proven negotiation skills
