The Project Manager must
• be familiar with the contents of the contract
• be responsible for creating a project team of the allocated resources and for establishing routines and defining responsibilities of the project team
• fulfil his/her responsibilities in accordance with governing QA-system
• evaluate and endorse the contract's basic technical, financial and commercial documentation and ensure transition and implementation in the project execution phase
• be main responsible appointing subsuppliers
• be responsible for the implementation of the relevant Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) requirements and requirements concerning the surrounding environment
• manage the project in accordance with the prevailing plans and be responsible for seeing that the plans are updated as required
• hold regular project meetings, preferably every other week
• be responsible for the assignments given to personnel working on the project, and clarify what resources are required for the project
• be responsible for preparation and maintenance of the project plan
• be responsible for keeping financial accounts for purchases and hours worked
• be the project's point of contact for the public authorities
• be responsible for dealing with any non-conformance in accordance with prevailing procedures
• be responsible for monthly project report and its contents
• report status, as agreed, to the customer and internally
• initiate meetings of the Project Steering Committee, when applicable
• be responsible for seeing that the installation/product is formally handed over to the customer and that the project is concluded internally
• prepare and participate in the plant commissioning
