Volvo Buses is now recruiting a Project and Operations Buyer to join our team.

Core Activities and Responsibilities
As a Project and Operations Buyer you will manage all purchasing issues in your portfolio related to projects after supplier selection. You will attend in applicable project cross-functional teams, and ensure deliverables from suppliers to fulfill APQP activities handled by SQA. You will be an important player when it comes to follow up, negotiate and track changes between contract and actual project needs. Capacity discussions and crisis management is a natural part of your work.
This will require for you to have the ability to work in an environment where drive and teamwork is very important. It is essential to collaborate with suppliers as well as designers and SQA's. As a Project and Operations Buyer at Volvo Buses in Gothenburg you will be a member of a team of 10 buyers and report to the Project & Operations Manager.
Other Responsibilities
• Forecast part cost evolution
• Handle calculation request and manage all various purchase orders to ensure that the suppliers are prepared for production
• Implement and follow up raw material fluctuations
• Propose resourcing activities if needed; drive activities related to the supplier switch and ensure the sourcing part is handed over to the Sourcing buyer
• Ensure collaboration with the other buyer roles within the respective segment
• Drive effectiveness challenges towards suppliers to ensure a good productivity development

Key qualifications required
• University degree alternatively Vocational University in business administration or science
• Proactive and with a drive to improve
• Fluent in written and spoken Swedish and English
• Team player and accountability
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Organized and thorough
• Technical understanding and interest in manufacturing
• Negotiation skills
• Minimum 3-5 years purchasing experience
• Focus on result
