Description
The scope of the projects is not set today. The consultant will need to be able to run more the one project in parallel, and for now it seems to be 1-3 projects that will start some with mechanical focus and some with software/electronics focus.
The consultants preferable have background within mechanics and/or software/electronics.
Work tasks:
• Work as the project manager for product development projects.
• Drive Projects from start to launch within the Product Unit Revolving Doors and Special Products.
• Develop detailed project plans, ensuring resource availability, allocation and deliver project on time within budget and scope.
Key responspilities:
• Managing individual or several projects in close contact with product management, from idea to launch.
• Managing risk, budget, scope, and time within the project
• Accountable to lead the project from start to launch within agreed time, budget, and scope
• Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders
• Ensure resource availability
• Develop a project plan to track progress
• Managing changes in project scope, schedule, and costs
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Create and maintain project documentation
• Managing of global cross-functional project teams
• Lead and coach team to achieve project goals
• Remove impediments for project team
• Responsible for following GW process, LEAN principles, the Product Development process, or any other agreed processes.
• Responsible for stakeholder communication
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
• Report status/progress to Project Steering groups
• Develop and refine product development processes and best practice.
• Align with Global Program Manager when it comes to Platform and Product Portfolio.
Mandatory competence and experience:
• Education: A bachelor's degree in engineering and preferably business administration. Documented experience from successfully running similar role.
• Languages: Proficient in spoken and written English and Swedish is a must
• Computer skills: Excellent
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a global and complex product development organization
• Minimum 10 years of project management experience
• Project management experience of waterfall 'Phase - Gate' projects
• Experience of Lean innovation, Lean project management and/or Scaled Agile Framework would be preferable
• Formal Project Management qualification such as PRINCE2, PMI PMP would be advantageous
