The Engine Development organization within Volvo CE is the centre for development of Volvo off-road engines. We are responsible for the engine performance, design, auxiliary components and powertrain installations in Volvo Construction Equipment, e.g. Articulated Haulers, Excavators, Wheel Loaders and Road and Utility Machinery.
To our existing team of Engine Project Managers, we now need recruit a new member.
Project Manager Engine Engineering
Position description:
The Engine Engineering department within Volvo CE is team of Project Managers responsible for planning and driving engineering projects within Engine development.
Project Manager Engineering (PME)
As PME you are responsible for the engineering part of one or several engine projects. This means delivering technical solutions that meet the product requirements within a given time frame and budget. The work is performed within your own team of engineers at Engine Development in Eskilstuna and/or in cooperation with external engine suppliers. With the role comes also the responsibility for planning, budgeting, deliveries, synchronization, follow-up and status reporting of your project deliveries.
The work is done in a highly global environment with internal as well as external partners and customers. Some travelling will be required and good communication and cooperation skills are essential. Good system and technical understanding is of high importance.
As PME you will be part of the project core team where you will report to the project CPM (Chief Project Manager).
Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position:
• M.Sc or B.Sc with documented experiences within relevant areas.
• Experience within Project Management
• Experience within Engine Development
• Deep technical knowledge within internal combustion engines, exhaust after treatment systems and control systems
• Experience of participating in global teams
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong in planning and structure work
• Result oriented
• Fluent in English (spoken & written), other languages are beneficial.
