Project Manager
Sauer-Danfoss in Älmhult, is looking for a project manager. This individual will be responsible for facilitating the successful design and development of electronic controllers, displays and electrohydraulic controls for construction and agricultural equipment.
Key responsibilities:
This position will lead a team responsible for the design and development of embedded products used in real-time control systems for off-highway vehicles. This position will be a member of the global Project Management Office focused on maintaining a high competency in project management and continuous improvement. As an integral member of the team, you will:
• Oversee entire development process from concept to series production of finished product.
• Use Sauer-Danfoss’s phase – gate Product Development and Launch Process (PDLP).
• Work with the Software, Hardware, Purchasing, Operations, Sales & Marketing, etc. teams as well as suppliers throughout the product development process.
• Partner with customers to develop system solutions for their vehicles.
• Lead, collaborate, and promote a team environment on a local and global level.
• Display competency in embedded systems.
• Display creativity, continuous self-development; demonstrate customer and quality focus, and effectively challenge when appropriate.
Qualifications:
The Project Manager selected for this role will have a BSEE or BSME and 3+ years of experience in Project Management. Experience with embedded hardware design, mechanical design, electro hydraulic systems, digital/analog, micro-controllers, experience designing to automotive environmental standards (SAE, IEC, EN), and experience doing FMEA’s is desired. Effective communication skills and enjoying collaboration in a team-based environment are essential. This role includes occasional domestic and international travel.
