Role Summary:
We seek a Project Engineer to the Quality Control department for Large scale manufacturing of BioProcess Media in Uppsala, Sweden. The department performs quality checks on BioProcess Media and serves as support function to manufacturing. The position as Project Engineer is at section QC Projects that supports the QC department regarding new technologies and new ways of working in Laboratory.

Essential Responsibilities:
The position will be accountable for implementing new technologies at QC department. You will be working closely with Engineers in Laboratory to explore new possibilities and implement solutions. The position will have both lead, coordinate and perform activities in the projects.

• Define, develop and implement solutions such as digital tools, new analytical instruments, improved ways of working

• Validate and document the new proposed solution according to business expectations

• Support changes in Laboratory area, interact with stakeholders

• Cooperate with Laboratory Engineers to sustain and improve on implemented solutions

Qualifications/Requirements:
• MSc or BSc degree preferably in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry or other relevant degree
• Knowledge of basic programming
• Experience of Laboratory Information Management System
• Experience in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience of validation concept and change control process for introduction of new equipment and tools in a Quality regulated environment
• Ability to work on multiple projects at once, work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to engage and enthusiasm project members to meet deadlines
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to pursue tasks to completion, results oriented
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, initiative
• Fluent in English and Swedish

Desired Characteristics:
• Knowledge of working with digital tools in Laboratory
• Knowledge of software and hardware validation, new or upgraded tools
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure environments
• PMP or other relevant Project management education
• Knowledge of database administration and maintenance
• Knowledge of SQL and Oracle databases
