hela Sverige The National Museums of World Culture is a Government agency under the Ministry of Culture. The instruction of the agency states that the National Museums of World Culture is responsible for displaying and bringing to life the various cultures of our world, in particular cultures outside of Sweden. Furthermore, the agency is to document and illustrate different cultural manifestations and conditions as well as cultural encounters and variations from a historical, contemporary, national and international perspective.
Agency activities are carried out at Museum of Ethnography, Museum of Mediterranean and Near Eastern Antiquities, Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities and Bergrummet/ the Caverns in Stockholm as well as at the Museum of World Culture in Gothenburg.

Since 2004, the National Museums of World Culture, have an assignment from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to act as the contact hub for the Swedish network of the Anna Lindh Foundation's (ALF network). The work is primarily performed by a coordinator with part time position (65% of full time). As our current project coordinator will be on paternity leave, we are seeking a substitute for the period January through September 2016.
Responsibilities
Your role as Project Coordinator is primarily to support the members of the Swedish ALF network, with information, dissemination, application support, jointly organized activities and the implementation of relevant events in Sweden. These tasks include sending out a digital newsletter 1-3 times/month as well as being the link between the Swedish network and the international secretariat in Alexandria.
The duties also include supporting the Anna Lindh Foundation's Secretariat in their strategic efforts for intercultural dialogue in the Euro-MENA region as well as documentation of completed activities as the basis for reports to funders.
Work on evenings/weekends and trips in Sweden and possibly abroad are included in the work description.
KvalifikationerWe expect you to have a degree in social sciences or equivalent and relevant work experience. You should have experience of working in/with the MENA-region as well as of working with civil society issues concerning cultural exchanges, intercultural dialogue and peace work. You have the ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish/English. Additional language skills in French and Arabic are highly meritorious.
